Software to future proof your enterprise

Our industry has witnessed amazing innovations, inventions and advancement in machining & technology over the past few years. Consequently the dedicated team here at Microvellum are zealously keeping pace with the momentum.

Industry computer literacy has increased dramatically giving rise to software becoming of paramount importance to provide the ‘professional’ advantage over competitors while improving productivity and profitability.

As baby boomers hitch up their caravans and disappear into the sunset, a huge skilled manpower shortage looms. Plans to preserve our custom furniture industries need to be set in place lest we surrender all to imports and rising inflation. The industry really has no choice but to strategise around existing with less staff, multi functional robotic machinery and intelligent software.

Nested based manufacturing technology has set a new precedence.  One only has to observe product development between the last two AWISA shows to appreciate the pace of advancement in this area alone. Last AWISA saw new and more powerful software, new makes & models, more tools, more functions, faster machining, better optimisation, better dust management, more efficient on/off loading. The ‘bridge or gantry’ design has become the norm with on board OEM CNC controllers being bundled in the deal on some machines. NBM ability and affordability is influencing our methods and management of furniture production while innovating development of tooling, hardware and panel fittings.

Software developers need to advance not only the manufacturing capacity but the visual.

autokitchen allow customers to select materials and colours as well as determine textures, gloss levels, lighting, sunrays, shadows, window and door placement with their designers.  Sinks, handles, door profiles, appliances, accessories and furniture, in fact all items from any of the many included libraries are real branded 3D objects capable of parametric resizing or positioning. Unique catalogs can be compiled from Autocad blocks and added to the selection making an exceptionally powerful selling tool for shop fitters, commercial kitchens, store fixtures and display walling etc. The objects are parametrically sizable with information attributes to make a straightforward process to output shop drawings, specifications, quotes and purchase orders.

autokitchen efficiently communicates data to the costing and manufacturing modules via XML or DXF file formats meaning you can run the CAD standalone or integrated with AMI or Microvellum toolbox.

A vitally important business growth consideration has to be whether your software has addressed future technologies and new operating system platforms, new product ranges, customer presentational expectations, constructional flexibility & creativity and direct CNC connectivity.

All of this and more is delivered within the suite of products offered by Microvellum.
